The stars of Gossip Girl were dressed for Winter to film around NYC yesterday. Blake Lively kept Penny warm under her coat as usual and Leighton Meester bundled up in Uggs before changing into heels for the camera. While Blair Waldorf isn't one for tennis shoes, in real life Leighton and Ed Westwick are both promoting sneaker lines. You loved seeing Ed for K Swiss, and though we have yet to see Leighton's ads, it's hard to imagine the actress looking anything less than fabulous.

Salma Hayek and Alec Baldwin filmed yet another scene on location for 30 Rock in NYC yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't smooth sailing for the show this week — on Wednesday shooting was canceled when a car crashed into the set, grazing a few actors and narrowly missing a young boy. Recently Alec Baldwin had a lot of positive things to say about Jennifer Aniston's appearance on the show, but he also called Salma the "most fabulous" guest star ever. Last night it was Steve Martin's time to shine on the excellent show, and while I would have loved to see him matched up with Jennifer Aniston, even separate they're treats.

On Thursday, the New York Times ran a pretty unflattering piece about Angelina Jolie and her calculating way of leveraging coverage of herself.

The article asserts that she struck a deal with People: baby photos in exchange for a $14 million donation the Jolie-Pitt foundation and a promise of favorable coverage of all of Angelina's charity work around the world. The article also says Angelina got away from unflattering coverage post Brad and Jen's split by taking a trip to Pakistan and making sure the media picked that up instead. It paints her as a conniving manipulator going so far as to set up photo ops playing with Maddox and tip off the paparazzi. Sarah Jessica Parker went functionality first walking a slightly less bundled up James Wilkie to school yesterday. It was business as usual for the mother-son duo, despite the sad news that Bitten went down with Steve & Barry's. As for the one movie everyone wants to hear about, Sarah Jessica recently talked more about the sequel and also life after removing her mole. Here are highlights:

• On the SATC movie: The one thing I regret is I never roamed around Manhattan and saw it [with the crowds]. I was too embarrassed about getting caught. I was afraid it would look like I was gloating. I do regret not seeing all those ladies — and some men — dressed up in their finery. But it was thrilling to hear about.
• On removing her mole: If I knew it was famous I never would have had it removed. My health is terrific. I never thought anybody had any emotional attachment to that mole. I certainly didn't. It was just one of those things where I had a couple weeks and I thought, "I can finally get that mole removed," like many people do. It was an incredibly slow news week . . . One woman said to me, "That's your signature!" I said, "That's my signature?! All these years of being worried about the work, I could have just counted on my mole?!"

Rihanna looked preppy-sexy at the rehearsals for Sunday's American Music Awards in LA yesterday. While she and Chris Brown kept their dancing separate, they're smoking when on stage together, so hopefully we'll get to see some of that too. Kate Moss was out in London last night, checking out her boyfriend Jamie's band with her mom Linda. Kate was dressed in her typical rock-chic style, but Fab has the scoop on copying her low-key wardrobe staples. It seems like all is well between Jamie and Kate at the moment, as they cuddled up in the car after his show with her mom even throwing a coat over them for a little extra privacy.
