Guess who’s enjoying the view?

Paris Hilton and Brittany Flickinger continued their tour of Sydney last night with dinner after a long day of shopping before hitting the beach and getting all dressed up for tonight’s New Years eve party. Paris managed to surprise and even offend some locals by spending the equivalent of $100 a minute, but the Deputy Prime Minister was quick to step in and declare it a good thing. Who knows why actual politicians were drawn into the minor controversy, but hey. Paris, her new BFF and Nicky are already partying their way into 2009 and maybe on Paris’s list of New Year’s Resolutions should be to not star in the worst movie of the year again.

Kanye West seemed to be in good spirits out in LA after a meal at yummy Houston’s this week. It’s been a rough year for Kanye and the paparazzi with two different incidents where it turned violent, but maybe he’s turning over a new leaf for 2009. One thing we won’t be doing is seeing Mr. West out partying anywhere tonight — according to his blog, he’s staying in on New Year’s Eve for the first time in five years to enjoy a little down time instead. Considering this hard worker says he never takes vacation, he must be pretty beat to take a break after a marathon 2008.

Lindsay Lohan enjoyed a relaxing pre New Year’s Eve bash morning on the beach in Miami today. She hung out with her younger brother Michael and some friends while soaking in the Florida sun. Lindsay didn’t have her usual bikini sidekick Samantha with her this time, but Miss Ronson might need a little more R&R before they are out all night partying. All year round celebrities find their excuses to bikini it up, but this looks like the perfect way to gear up for a big night.

David Beckham worked up a sweat training with AC Milan in Dubai yesterday. This week the team doctor stated that Becks is in excellent physical condition and while the physician may be an expert, we can’t help but agree that he’s looking pretty spectacular. Of course, David is one of our sexiest of the year, and it should be lovely to watch him ripping off his shirt during games abroad and stateside in 2009. He recently ended his 10-year endorsement deal with Pepsi, but our reigning fit male could sell us just about anything.

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson went out again in South Beach last night before their New Year’s Eve party at Mansion in Miami. Samantha continues to talk about how she’s recovering from her hospital scare, saying, “Lots of sleep, movies and meals outside of airports will do wonders.” Don’t know how much sleep these two are getting hitting the clubs but thanks to a new truce with Michael Lohan after last week’s mess, hopefully the girls will be able to relax and enjoy each others company when the ball drops at midnight.

Beyonce and Jay-Z had some romantic alone time in St Barth’s on Monday night, but yesterday was all about fun in the sun. Beyonce showed off her big smile as she took a spin on a jet ski before stripping down and showing off her fabulous bikini body. Jay-Z stayed dry on the yacht but was sure to snap plenty of photos of his wife as she had a blast soaking up rays. Beyonce and Jay may never have had an official honeymoon after finally tying the knot this year, but luckily they seem to get in plenty of vacation time to make up for it.
