Lauren Conrad stepped out to lunch in her cute summery dress, but instead of her usual girl friend by her side the Hills star was with a male companion. Apparently LC's new boy is a minor league baseball player named Doug Reinhardt, and his sister Casey was even on a few episodes of Laguna Beach. Guess this means her date with Stephen on last week's episode didn't ignite any old sparks, but we're excited to see Lauren have some romance of her own later on in the season.

I guess the rumors are true? Well, there's yet to be confirmation from either half of the couple, but according to Access Hollywood and a source close to the couple, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are indeed engaged to be married. The whispers started when Mariah was seen flashing this ridiculous ring at the Tribeca premiere of her movie Tennessee.

Seems pretty sudden considering Nick just split from his ex fiance Selita Ebanks in October, but hey the diva gets what she wants. So what do you think, are they really engaged? Are you surprised? And how fabulous will her dress be?

This morning we were so excited to see the photos of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer in Miami poolside and at lunch over the weekend that getting another glimpse of the singer definitely makes us swoon. You all seem fairly split on whether you think they make a hot pair, but I gotta say I'm loving it. Mayer was back in New York yesterday, hitting up the gym and fielding questions from the paparazzi about his romantic rendezvous. Of course he continued to stay mum, but here's to hoping that come the weekend he'll be hopping right back on that plane headed south for more intimate Miami moments.

Ashton Kutcher was looking very much like a movie star signing autographs in his sunglasses and blazer in LA yesterday. With the release date of What Happens in Vegas less than two weeks away, we're expecting to see lots more of Ashton promoting his new romantic comedy all over the place. While we respect her need to lay low right now, we still hope Cameron will make it out for at least one of the events — we'd love to see those two hamming it up on the red carpet together.

After finding out more details about his summer reality TV show, High School Musical: Summer Session he was already hard at work getting started on it over the weekend. On Sunday he trekked to Long Beach to greet some of the hopefuls at the open casting call. While it must be exciting to have a shot at getting to play a part in the insanely successful franchise, meeting Mr. Lachey must be a pretty fun thrill too.

I gotta say, Chace Crawford is growing on me as Nate finally has a good personality (and love story) on Gossip Girl. He and Blake Lively had a laugh on the set of the show yesterday after he spent the morning jogging with his on-screen dad — out of rehab? Mr. Crawford is all over the place these days mugging on the red carpet, showing off his geek side and capturing the hearts of teen girls everywhere. Our beloved GG still may not be a ratings hit, but we know we're not the only ones who can't wait to see what mischief they get up to in the final three episodes of the season.

She's been making her way through NYC promoting War, Inc, but at the premiere last night, she couldn't help straying off topic of her new film just a little. She talked about her boyfriend Mike being supportive and patient as well as her latest hockey obsession. When asked to weigh in on the Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair photo, Hilary kept it classy saying, "Who am I to judge decisions that she made?" Miley could learn a lesson from the former Disney star.
