Katie and Suri had their girls’ day in Berlin, so it’s only fair that Tom got to take Katie out for a romantic dinner last night. These two have never been shy about their PDAs so it’s no surprise that they were getting kissy and cozy in the restaurant. Meanwhile, Suri - who is looking so adorably feisty the days - was probably back at the hotel while her parents had their playtime. Luckily she had her cute tiger stuffed animal which we bet made for excellent company.
Rosie O’Donnell has taken to her blog to launch an attack on Paula Abdul, ostensibly in response to the American Idol judge’s Bravo reality show, Hey Paula. “hey paula/we cringe/at r selves/thru u,” O’Donnell wrote in part. Ouch.
In a first-person essay for September’s Glamour, Star Jones Reynolds (finally) admits that she underwent gastric bypass surgery in August 2003, resulting in a weight loss of 160 pounds over three years. Reynolds says she was “intentionally evasive” when people asked how she’d dropped the pounds because she was afraid of what people would think of her. The magazine is due on newsstands Sept. 7.

While word leaked earlier this week that the Grammy winner and his pregnant fiancée, stylist Tameka Foster, were due to tie the knot in a Hamptons ceremony Saturday, on the morning of the big day, Usher’s publicist confirmed that wedding bells would not be ringing. (more…)
A Muslim student group in Malaysia wants the plug pulled on the Kuala Lumpur leg of Gwen Stefani’s Sweet Escape tour because they find her video clips promoting the event “too obscene.” The group also criticized Malaysian mobile phone company Maxis Communications for promoting the event and trying to “expose our young generation to things such as moral decay.” If the promoters decline to call off the show, the 10,000-strong National Union of Malaysian Muslim Students said they would ask authorities to intervene.
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky has joined the cast of the teen comedy Harold, per the Hollywood Reporter. The curvaceous thesp plays Rhonda, the nerdy best friend of balding teen Harold (Spencer Breslin). Ally Sheedy plays Maureen, a mother who helps her prematurely aging son deal with constant teasing, and Cuba Gooding Jr. plays a janitor and is also one of the film’s producers. Filming recently began in Blonsky’s hometown of Great Neck, New York, with the middle school she attended serving as the set
Could it be that things are heating back up with Reese and Jake? We had never even seen these two together since their much rumored about relationship and split last Spring, but in the past day we’ve gotten two separate occasions of the duo driving in two different cars. The one below, and this one. Hmmmm, very interesting. I’m not saying that a little car ride means they’re walking down the aisle anytime soon, but it’s pretty exciting to finally see these two together, especially when we least expected it. Plus, with their movie Rendition getting gala treatment at the Toronto Film Festival in September, I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing more of these two. I will admit they’re pretty darn cute together.
While Gavin stayed home to ponder his new bleached hair, Gwen and Kingston hit up the Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney, Australia this afternoon. Of course Kingston was perfectly put together as always, but I’m beginning to think his comb over is getting a little long. Maybe he can get one of his mom’s many hair people to schedule in a little trim (that is, unless he’s trying to hearken back to his dad’s grunge days). Seriously though, look at his little skull & crossbones belt — he’s such a little badass.
