Christina Aguilera is one person who has stayed away from testing her acting chops, unlike her other peers. Her only appearance as guest and host of “Saturday Night Live “ was indeed enough, to show that she has it in her to make an actress.

So she is finally getting ready to wet her feet in this field, after 10 years, when she was in the Mickey Mouse Club. she has signed on to play a role on “CSI: New York.”

The show’s executive producer Anthony Zuiker said, “Christina’s a fan of the show, and we’re excited to have her. The episode will probably explore the topic of battered women.” The topic will hit home for Christina who grew up in a home of abuse. She has also publicly campaigned against domestic violence.

Will she finally be able to don the tag of singer/actress?  Let’s wait and watch!
